There is a full calendar of events throughout the year, every month there is a formal meeting followed by a guest speaker or some special attraction

Radio Amateur Licence

Next Courses:

Advanced - Although at present we are not offering courses, we are a registered centre for the Advanced examination. An examination is to be held on Thursday January 30th 2014 at 6.30pm. If you would like to take advantage of this, please complete the application form and send, with a cheque for £60 (which includes the room hire and examination fee) payable to The Torbay Amateur Radio Society before January 2nd 2014. Payment may also be made by PayPal or BACS (please email for bank details). If paying by PayPal, please add an additional £2 to cover the PayPal charges, and is payable to tars@tars.org.uk. We reserve the right to postpone the availabilty of sitting this exam should insufficient numbers apply.

Foundation Course:A course is to be held March 22/23 2014. Please submit an application form together with your payment of £60 (payable to Torbay Amateur Radio Society) to cover the cost of the venue and the exam fee and may be made by cheque, PayPal or BACS (please email for bank details). If paying by PayPal, please add an additional £2 to cover the PayPal charges.

Candidates participating in a Foundation Course and Examination held by The Torbay Amateur Radio Society will be eligible for one year complimentary Membership of the Society.
