At the Club Meeting last evening (140829) it was announced to the Membership that Colin, G4FCN would not be seeking re-election to the Committe at the AGM in February. This of course will mean that the Treasurers post will be vacent. Members were also reminded that, at the last AGM, Pam, G7SME would not be seeking re-election as Chairman of the Society.

Tars Annual Communications Fair
The Annual Communications Fair will be held at Newton Abbot Racecourse
on Sunday September 14th 2014
This year will be our 50th Rally. To celebrate this, in addition to our usual 'Instant Draw' we will be holding a Prize Raffle with some excellent prizes, including:

Radio Amateur Licence
Intermediate Course - A course is to be held (subject to a minimum of 4 candidates) on August 9/10 and August 16/17. Plese submit an application form together with your payment of £70 (payable to Torbay Amateur Radio Society) to cover the cost of the venue and the exam fee and may be made by cheque, PayPal or BACS (please email for bank details/PayPal ID). If paying by PayPal, please add an additional £2 to cover the PayPal charges.
Advanced Course - Although at present we are not offering courses, we are a registered centre for the Advanced examination. If you would like to take the examination, please Pam Helliwell.

Foundation Course - It is hoped to hold a course Mid October 2014. Please submit an

Candidates participating in a Foundation Course and Examination held by The Torbay Amateur Radio Society will be eligible for one year complimentary Membership of the Society.

Radio Amateurs Licence Examination Training
Torbay Amateur Radio Society can provide all the necessary training for you to study and pass the examinations for the Foundation Licence and then follow on with the Intermediate Licence
