| on the 3rd - 9th June 2007 we will take you on the journey of a lifetime.
Old logging trails,
some not used since the 1960’s and since then mother nature has
slowly claimed back the routes. Landslides and rain erosion have created
some major obstacles. Huge gullies and washouts can bar the way, many of the log bridges
have rotted away and collapsed. Some of the route will have disappeared beneath
a tangled web of fallen bamboo. |

This
is no holiday on the beach! It is living the dream of the old Camel Trophy
type event.
Wild elephants still roam this region, and tigers – although now very rare – still live in the mountainous and unpopulated area. Gibbons herald the start of each day, calling to one another from high in the jungle canopy, their cries echoing through the valleys. The jungle is truly a special and beautiful place. From the ridges one can look out and see the forest canopies emerging through the mist, endless…… for as far as the eye can see. AhTek (Chief scout for the Malaysian Rain Forest Challenge) and Martin Lewis (8 times veteran of the RFC , Winner of the Jungleman Award RFC 2004) both passionate about the jungle will lead this 7 days awesome adventure. The only way through is for everyone to pull together as a team, working hard, cutting through the thick bamboo with machetes, clearing fallen trees, digging, winching, building log bridges, winching, constructing log track ways, winching, precision driving and more winching !! The vehicles are 110 Land Rovers, battle proven to be the best vehicles for the job. Camping in the jungle is basic, stretcher beds under a large tarpaulin fly sheet stretched between vehicles. Communal. There are no creature comforts. Washrooms are the cool clear mountain rivers and streams. Toilets – go dig a hole…… |

only 8 places available on the trip. Ladies are welcome ! As part of the
